Generosity Moment - From the Service of the Sacrament: "Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of Sabaoth adored." Three times the angels in Isaiah 6 cry out: “Holy, Holy, Holy!” which is an indication of the threeness in the one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is the Name we are baptized into. We have been made a part of God’s family. And so we are now called to live lives that are in harmony with our new family: we made to be godly, to live in God’s image. As God is loving, and kind, and generous – so are we called to be, even in what we give to our church in our financial offering.

8th Grade School Graduation – St. Paul will once again celebrate 8th grade graduation on Thursday, May 26 at 7:00pm in the Central Site sanctuary. Our guest speaker will be Mike Zimmer from the Northern Illinois District. We have a talented, unique, energetic group o f6 your people receiving their diploma this year. We are proud to have played a crucial role in the development of the students’ knowledge and growth in faith in Jesus. We pray that they continue to grow in God’s Word and know that Jesus is their Life Saver as they leave us and begin their high school years. We thank these kids for the impact they have had on our school!

LADIES GUILD ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 8th, will have their Luncheon at 11:30am at the Northwest Site.  Mark Weidner will prepare and serve this Celebration Lunch for us.  The menu is a Chicken Salad with additional sides and beverage for $6.00.  Please plan to pay at the Luncheon.  If you did not sign-up at the May meeting, call Noma Weidner (815-968-4831) or Vicky Semenchuk (815-877-3874) by June 1st to make your reservation.  You may bring MITES to this Luncheon, but also continue saving over the summer.

The Crusader Thrift Shop will be closing their doors on May 27th. They are having a big sales to get rid of everything. All clothing will be .25 and other items half off. All fixtures are for sale also. No more donations are being accepted.

Join us for the 14th annual St. Paul Band Camp beginning June 20-24, 2016 from 9:00am – Noon each day. Band camp is open to students entering grades 5-9 and who have completed at least one year of instruction on their instrument. Camp will be held at the Northwest Site (4881 Kilburn Ave). Cost is 75.00 for 1st family member and 25.00 for second family member and no  charge for the 3rd family member. There will be an outdoor concert on Friday evening at 7:00pm If you are interested you can fill out a form located in the narthex at both sites.

Vacation Bible School 2016 – We would like to spice it up a little differently this year under the theme “Ocean Commotion: Diving into Noah’s Flood.”  We will be using this curriculum published by Answers in Genesis that hosts the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky (near Cincinnati). Our DCE trained Miss Marybeth Madsen (who also serves as our school Kindergarten teacher) & Pastor Thies have agreed to serve as coordinators together.  But we need a lot of adult and youth volunteers to make it all happen.  We plan to have it at Northwest site this year, July 11-15, from 5:30pm until 8pm.  Be thinking how you can help, mark your calendars and register any kids you can snag for our “Ocean Commotion!”
