Generosity Moment - Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” What all of mankind’s efforts, works, and scheming could not do, the blood of Christ did: we have peace with God, we are brought near to the Father. This life-giving sacrifice of Christ for us sets the pattern for the sacrifices we are called to make for others within our vocations in home, church, society, and even in our weekly financial offering giving.
A job well done & Blessed – NEIGHBORFEST – Thanks to a great crew of about 20 St. Paul volunteers and even about 8 helpers out of the community who joined in last weekend’s NEIGHBORFEST was one of the biggest and best ever in our neighborhood at Central site. What a great turn out! ... over 289 served. We proclaimed the clear message of Jesus for salvation and let people know He and we love them and He provides for us all! Can't say enough thanks for our volunteer members who showed in nice numbers to pitch in. It was a "good tired" after it was all done. WHAT A CHURCH AND WITNESS FOR JESUS! Thanks be to God!
SOMETHING DIFFERENT – Join us for our Wednesday night activity at 6:30pm at Northwest site with a devotional Bible Study led by Pastor Thies. We will continue THIS WEEK, Wednesday, July 22nd, when our topic from Answers in Genesis will be “How Can We Raise Godly Children?” Come and try SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

Very Important Congregational Meeting - Soon we expect you will be hearing more detail on some rather daunting aspects that come to us to consider especially for our Congregational Budget that must be approved by the end of July so that we can continue operating beyond July 31st! In order for us to have that opportunity, our Church Planning Council and Chairman has set Monday, July 27th, at 6:30pm at NORTHWEST SITE as the time and place of our semi-annual Congregational Meeting. In addition to budgetary matters, material and opportunity will be made for Board Reports and discussion and Election of Officers and Board Members for the August 1st, 2015 through the July 31st, 2016 year term. If you miss this meeting, you will miss your opportunity to hear and have a say to decide in the impact that the LARGE AND SUBSTANTIAL decisions will have on our going forward together at St. Paul.
Vacation Bible School – This summer St. Paul will be partnering with Mt. Olive Lutheran in their Bible Adventure Camp “The Life and Love of Jesus.” This will be held at Beyer School in Rockford, August 3rd – 6th from noon – 3:00pm. Volunteers and donations are needed to make this a success. Please see the enclosed flyer for more information. Registration forms are in the narthex at both sites.
