Generosity Moment – 1 Corinthians 1:7  “…so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Lord sees to it that we do not lack any gift – He has given us every spiritual blessing in Christ as well as every earthly need as well. He is the Provider. And we can trust Him to always provide for us in every way.  In this confidence we grow to trust that when we give regular and substantial gifts in church offerings we will still be provided for sufficiently by the Lord.

Our guest preacher today is Pastor Keith Haney from the Northern Illinois District LCMS.  Pray that the Lord may prepare him and us for his message.

COME TODAY! - In the introduction to the Large Catechism, Martin Luther wrote "I must still read and study daily, and yet I cannot master it as I wish, but must remain a child and pupil of the Catechism, and am glad so to remain".  The Large Catechism contains the basic foundations that all of our doctrine is built upon: the Ten Commandments, the Creed, Lord's Prayer and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.  Would you like to dig deeper into these basic biblical doctrines that we as Lutherans hold so dear?  Join us as we study Luther's Large Catechism during Sunday morning Bible study at both the Central at 9:15am and Northwest site at 10:15am.

Please see the insert regarding our collection of toys for children at Fairgrounds Housing Community.  We are working with other agencies like the Boys & Girls Club to be able to meet the children that will be able to receive these gifts. We really can only use new toys, please.

Mid-Week Advent Services continue this Wednesday, December 10th. The morning service will be at 10:30am at the Central Site with Pot-luck afterwards in the undercroft.
