Next Sunday’s Special Voters Meeting – The church planning council for St. Paul has set a time for us as a congregation to discuss the number of worship services to be held and other related issues on Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 at 11:45am in the Central Site sanctuary. Please plan to attend, be informed and register your votes together!

Dear Members of St. Paul – We, the Board of Elders recommend that the current schedule of three services remain in place so that all may attend church when they chose. We will vote on this issue on November 23, 2014. Your Friend in Christ, Tim King and the Board of Elders.

Thanksgiving Eve Service – Please join the St. Paul Lutheran Church and School families in the Parish Hall Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 26th for a special service of thanksgiving and praise to God. The service will be blessed with music from the church choir, the school children, the St. Paul Band and the 100 men chorus singing, “How Great Thou Art.” Be sure to make worship a central part of your Thanksgiving by attending the 7:00pm worship service.

Thanksgiving Collection – The Board of Social Ministry invites your help in collecting  canned or boxed food for needy families. Please, no glass jars of any kind! Should you wish to donate a monetary gift, we are happy to pass that along to our area food pantries to help those in need in the most efficient way. Look for a Thanksgiving collection area at both sites.

Christmas Tree Decorating at the Northwest Site will take place on Friday, November 28th beginning at 9:00am. Anyone is welcome to join in. Please call Dennis Slagell at 815-904-7077 if you have questions.

Mark Your Calendars! December 14th will be the date for the Christmas Carol service at the 10:30 service. There will be a light lunch served afterwards in the undercroft.

Altar Guild needs volunteers for the Central Site. For more information, please call Karen Utech at 815-229-6940.

St. Paul Lutheran School has seats available in the following grades: Kindergarten, 7th & 8th grades. Grades 1-6 are at capacity. However, we may make an exception in those grades if a sibling of a new student in grades K, 7& 8 were to enroll.

Do you want to hang out with kids and serve our school as well?  Then, we have fantastic opportunities for you!  We are seeking a volunteer study hall "sitter" on Mondays and Fridays from 12:30 - 1:15 PM.  The study hall has about 12 5th and 6th grade students. We are also continually looking for people to read with students.  Carol Ulrich is the coordinator for this effort.  Please contact the school office if you are interested in either valuable position (815-965-3335 est. 215 or stpaulrockford@gmail.com).

Little Lambs is now accepting applications for fall enrollment. Please call Katie Lopez at 815-965-3335, ext. 218.
