Generosity Moment - “As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.'” (Luke 3:4 ESV)  God makes long range plans: Isaiah lived more than seven hundred years before St. John the Baptist preached by the Jordan River. Obviously God sees farther into the future than we do! That's yet another reason to trust Him when it comes to how He tells us to live our lives, even in our weekly offering giving: He knows what's coming and we don't.

Midweek Advent Services.  Continue this Wednesday, December 9th with the message based on promises that come from God for Light and Darkness.  On Wednesday, December 16th, our school children will present their Christmas Service in the gymnasium at Central site.  Services are at 10:30am at Central together with school chapel and 7pm at Northwest, except that on December 16th both services are in the gym.  Come join us in some special worship of our God and Savior and His peace offering message for the Season!

ALL ARE WELCOME to the Potluck Lunch in the Undercroft hosted by Ladies Guild following the 10:30am Wednesday Advent Services on December 2nd and 9th.  Bring a dish to share.  Table service and beverage is provided.  Come and enjoy this lunch and fellowship as we prepare during Advent for the birth of Jesus on Christmas.

Next Sunday Christmas Choral Service – “Jesus- The Light of the World Has Come!”  Join us at the Central Site at 10:30am as we praise Him in Word and song.  In conjunction with the choir's presentation of the Service of Carols at the 10:30am service on December 13, there will be a light lunch (soup and salad) served in the Undercroft. All are invited to join us. If you like, bring a dessert to share (though not required!) Bring your family and friends to this special traditional gathering!

Toy Collection for Kids -  Again this year, we will be collecting new toys for Christmas gifts for those less fortunate. We need toys for boys and girls. We would like dolls in all skin tones as we serve a variety of nationalities. We can use blankets or quilts in doll sizes that will be given with a doll. If you would rather have us buy the toy, we have volunteers for this job. If you purchase a Target gift card from the Script program we will help the school and a child. The cards could be placed in an envelope and marked Christmas Toys. Please contact Sandy Kahler with any questions at 815-877-7936.

Any day is an Open House at St. Paul Lutheran School.  You may direct interested families to our Admission Counselor Team of Dyan Lofgren (ext. 215) and Sue Wilkinson (est. 210).  They can be emailed at stpaulrockford@gmail.com or called at 815-965-3335.

Little Lambs is now accepting applications for fall enrollment. Please call Katie Lopez at 815-965-3335, ext. 218.

Are you interested in working with some of our wonderful St. Paul students?  We are looking for helpers to work one on one with students of all ages. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the school office (815-965-3335) or Carol Ulrich.
