Generosity Moment - 1 John 5:12 “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” Jesus is the foundation, the bedrock, the beginning and the end. To have Him is to have it all. In Him we have life. And we are called to live in Him, to live this new life He has given us, to grow up into His image. This is a struggle in this sinful world! But His grace is sufficient as He refreshes us through Word and Sacrament so that we can even have confidence in His care when we regularly and generously give in our church offerings.
Today we recognize in our 10:30 service, the accomplishment of Graduation by our High School seniors of 2015. They are: Alysa B., Dari C. Taylor F., Zachary H., Jacob K., Max R., Daniel V, and Abigail W. Congratulations and God’s blessings in your future endeavors!
Special Congregational Meeting This Morning - Our Congregational Chairman, at the request of our Board of Parish Education, has called a Special Meeting for this morning at 11:45am or whenever the late service ends for the purpose of considering a teaching candidate or candidates for a call to teach at our school for the coming year. Please plan to attend and hear more on the individual(s) and register your vote as to whether to extent a call to these Synodically trained servants among us.
MONDAY BIBLE CLASS meets at a special time of 9:30am tomorrow for our last class before spring/summer break. We will have our planned brunch at this time as we continue our study of Isaiah.
New Series at SOMETHING DIFFERENT – Join us for our Wednesday night activity at 6:30pm at Northwest site with a devotional Bible Study led by Pastor Thies. This week we will begin a series of video lectures from Dr. Ken Ham of “Answers in Genesis.” Dr. Ham maintains that “Genesis is the foundation for all Christian doctrine and even the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Do you agree? Come discuss. The first video lection is “Is Genesis Relevant Today?” Come and try SOMETHING DIFFERENT!
