Prayer for the Day is a daily devotional ministry. To hear a devotion recorded by Pastor Thies, please call the special Prayer for the Day phone number (963-7641) and then dial 3 when the call is answered.

St. Paul Care Cards – We hope you will fill yours out so we can take note that you were here. Please pass the completed cards toward the inside aisle during the offering for pickup by the usher. At the same time, please also pass in any unused cards so that we might reuse them another time. They will be picked up afterward as the usher comes back from the altar.

Generosity Moment -  Hebrews 9:12  “He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.” The only price that could redeem us was the very Blood of the Christ – this is the only sacrifice of true worth. His sacrificial giving sets the pattern for our life – for how can we who are redeemed by the self-giving of God not also give of ourselves to His Kingdom?  Some of that comes through financial giving.

THE LADIES GUILD will host a Potluck Lunch after the Wednesday morning Lenten services at the Central Site in the undercroft.  Please bring a "dish to pass" from an old or new recipe.  Table service and beverage is provided.  ALL are welcome to be part of this meal and the fellowship.

“Restore the Roar!” is the theme for our Lent midweek services. The Book of Amos has this as its singular goal: to restore the rightful roar from the Lion, Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel. The temptation is to put our hands over our ears to drown out His roar. The world, the devil, and our old Adam tempt us to clip the claws on the Lion and clean up His bloody Passion we are called to follow. But the Bride of Christ, the Church, is called to holy reverence before the Lord, the King of the universe. Join us under this theme and the Book of Amos in midweek Lenten worship on Wednesdays, 10:30am at Central and 7pm at Northwest.  Our own Pastor Ciprys delivers the message this week.

Confirmation next weekend at the 10:30am service.  This year four of our young people have completed their two years of study with pastors and their parents.  This year Evan Anderson, Holly Harkins, Euan Schmid and Gus Wolf will give their statements of faith, take their vows of faith and give their witness to their Lord.  Let’s congratulate them for journey and pray for their future in the church!

Transforming Rockford is a worthy goal.  See the insert on Crossroads Kids Club and let’s consider together whether we could do it this way at Haskell School

Central Site Altar Guild is looking for members. Please call Karen Utech if you can help with this, 815-229-6940.

USHERS WANTED! Interested in becoming an usher?  We can use you!  If you are high-school age or above and would like to be added to our usher rotation, please let us know.  This is a great way to get to know your fellow members and serve your congregation.  We will work to assign you to a team that best fits your schedule.  Contact Jon Schuknecht (jschuknecht@att.net) for teams at the Northwest Site or Aaron Temple (aaron.temple@gmail.com) for teams at the Central Site.

Do you know someone who could become a St. Paul Supporter?  St. Paul Supporter could be anyone form throughout our area or around the country.  They could be your family, friends, coworkers, members of churches who do not have a school to support - really anyone.  Our supporters will receive periodic updates about the ministry of our school.  We will ask them to support us by prayer and telling others about St. Paul Lutheran School.  They are not obligated or even asked for a financial gift.  Although, we will include an envelope if they would like to support us in that way.  Our goal is to "Share or Story" to as many as will hear it!  Consider adding 10 names of people you know to our mailing list.  Simple forms are available in the church narthex as well as both the school and church office.  This is a project of our new Development Office.  Please talk to Bruce Volkert, our school principal, if you have questions.

Little Lambs is now accepting applications for spring enrollment. Please call Jan Morton at 815-965-3335, ext. 218.

Mrs. Lynn Warner is our school Admissions Counselor. You are always welcome to provide names and contact information to her for perspective school families. You can reach her at 815-965-3335.

Our school is in need of a substitute teacher.  Please contact Mr. Volkert if you are interested or know someone who may be. principal@stpaulrockford.com or 815-965-3335  ext. 215.
